Plants that are poisonous to eat include foxglove, hemlock, aconite, laburnum seeds & many types of berry including deadly nightshade & holly. Several plants (e.g. mountain ash, honeysuckle, hawthorn), are of minimal toxicity & may be regarded as non-poisonous in quantities eaten by children. However, other plants are possibly more dangerous & are covered separately (see 'Plant Varieties' section).
